As 2024 comes to a close, Zeno Renewables is proud to celebrate a year filled with impactful achievements in renewable energy, sustainability, and community building. Here’s a recap of some of our most meaningful moments:
1. Planting the Seeds of Change
Through our partnership with veritree, we planted an additional 32,930 trees across three regions in Kenya in 2024. This has contributed to our cumulative tree planting efforts of 71,973, reforesting 7.2 hectares and paving the way for 17,606 tonnes of CO₂ to be sequestered over their lifetime. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to environmental stewardship and global sustainability. Learn more about our impact here!
2. Strides for Sustainability
Running toward a greener future, our 2024 Strides for Sustainability initiative achieved:
- 2 marathons completed
- 61+ participants joining the races
- An incredible 2,145+ kilometers covered
- A remarkable $42,024.40 raised to fund renewable energy projects and empower communities

3. Cleaning Up Our Cities
Through our #CITYCLEANUP events, we united:
- 110+ volunteers
- 21+ companies
- And collected 70+ bags of garbage during 2 events this year.

4. Feeding Families this Holiday Season
Through our Zeno Holiday Food Drive, we had the privilege of feeding families in need within our local communities while doubling the impact of our efforts. This year:
- We collected 1,038 lbs. of food for Calgary, Edmonton, Mississauga, and Lethbridge Food Banks.
- Zeno matched every pound of food with a dollar-for-pound donation, contributing a total of $1,038 to support these communities.
Together, we’ve made a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most this holiday season.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Next year, we plan to:
- Expand our partnership with veritree to plant even more trees and sequester additional CO₂
- Contribute to supporting programs like KidSport that help build healthier communities across Canada
- Continue hosting sustainability-focused events, like #CITYCLEANUP and Strides for Sustainability
- Increase our efforts in supporting vulnerable families over the holidays
